Quality and traceability of the material are key priorities for Sapim. In this respect, the highly skilled operators of Sapim can rely on a state-of-the-art laboratory facility in which all necessary tests could be handled.  This allows a proper control that guarantees the highest possible quality for each spoke and nipple manufactured by Sapim. Some of the machines in the lab include but are not limited to tensile testing machines, a 3D measuring machine, a specific wheel testing machine, various testing tools and an innovative fatigue testing machine.

This laboratory does not only help Sapim develop the best possible products but also its partners to develop specific tailor-made solutions for a perfect wheel. Indeed, the R&D department of Sapim is often involved in the development of customer specific solution.  These could be projects for high end wheel builders, standard bike producers and even with automotive companies.
